Honors Academy Charter School District is an innovative learning environment designed to meet the needs of today’s learners. Having an exceptional staff, up-to-date education methodology, and technology-based learning techniques, each Honors Academy campus is dedicated to having all students excel. Honors Academy’s unique curriculum integrates technology, projects, state adopted texts and traditional instructor-led methods to facilitate students functioning to their highest potential. This allows students to maximize their learning efforts.

The Honors district was granted a charter by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in 1999. Honors Academy has six campuses (see Campus List) located throughout the north/central region. All of the campuses are open-enrollment, public schools. There are no fees or tuition required at any campus. Honors Academy is fully accredited by TEA.

Honors Academy is led by John Dodd, President and Chief Executive Officer, and the Honors Board of Trustees. Mr. Dodd and the Board comprise a group of accomplished community leaders whose goal is to provide the best leadership and direction for education excellence.
